Abstract

Numerous studies suggest that female patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) have a higher risk of postoperative mortality and morbidity compared to their male counterparts. However, data remains controversial, with some analyses suggesting that after adjusting for confounding factors like age and comorbidities, the outcomes are comparable. The objective of this study was to retrospectively evaluate the impact of sex on early and mid-term outcomes after isolated CABG surgery in a single-center cohort.
